Sempermed celebrates successful Plant 7 expansion
Saturday, April 30th marked an important day for Latexx Partners, Sempermed’s manufacturing site in Kamunting, Malaysia, where our examination and personal protective gloves are produced. Semperit Group CEO Karl Haider and COO Kristian Brok welcomed esteemed guests to the inauguration ceremony of the recently completed extension of our state-of-the art Plant 7, which added additional production lines.

At this celebratory event, Sempermed was pleased to receive Chief Minister of the Malaysian state Perak, YAB Dato' Seri Saarani bin Mohamad, and H.E. Andreas Launer, the Austrian Ambassador to Malaysia and Brunei, as well as representatives from ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Kuala Lumpur, the trade promotion organisation of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
This expansion project was carefully planned and executed, with construction of the individual lines commencing soon after the project kick-off date in September 2020. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the project team, this ambitious undertaking was successfully completed two months ahead of schedule and all six new lines are running smoothly.
Improvement is the backbone of our expansion
The newly installed lines in our modern factory brings the total number of production lines to 18, thereby significantly increasing Latexx Partners’ annual production capacity. In addition, Latexx has already begun producing new types of products on these new lines, such as the Semperguard cobalt blue, which further enhance the company’s wide portfolio of nitrile gloves.
