Gloves in Contact with Novel Coronavirus

In December 2019, an outbreak of a novel coronavirus was identified in Wuhan, the capital city of the Hubei Province in Central China. As of end of January 2020, this virus has caused multiple fatalities in the Hubei province and has been identified by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a new strain temporarily named 2019-nCoV. While Chinese authorities are taking actions to stop the spread of the virus, it has since spread to several Asian countries and first cases have been reported in the United States and Europe. Since there is evidence of human-to-human transmission and of infection even during the incubation period, we would like to inform you about requirements and recommendations for protecting workers whose work activities are conducted in an environment that is known or reasonably suspected to be contaminated with the novel coronavirus.
